What are you prepared to suffer for?

"SOMETHING TO READ"

This is a great one from Mark Manson, he of The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A Fuck, about what are you prepared to suffer for.

Because let’s face it if you’re not prepared to suffer at least a little bit you’re never going to achieve anything worthwhile.

A great 5-minute read.

"SOMETHING TO DO"

I’m a massive fan of writing of writing “drunk” and editing “sober”.

As in writing without my internal editor switched on beyond correcting spelling. Then, later in the day, coming back and being more critical of what I’ve written and cleaning up some of that initial outpouring.

So, I highly recommend setting aside time in the morning to write. Don’t worry about what comes out as you know you’re gonna come back and clean up later.

Do play around with it when you do this as mornings aren’t for everyone.

But whatever you do I strongly suggest putting time into your calendar to write.

"SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT"

Regardless of whether you work on online or in-person, you can’t escape the need for some sort of social media presence. Where most get it wrong is in trying to go viral, and gather followers but not buyers.

Chasing followers is a poor metric for growth, you’d be surprised how many broke influencers there are.

Plus, as Joseph Gordon- Levitt points out in this video, ruins your creativity
