The coolest sunglasses and a marketing lesson

Did you know that the iconic Ray Ban Aviators have been around since 1937 and, as the name suggests, were designed specifically for pilots?

The lenses are deliberately large and curved to cover the whole field of vision to keep the sun out of the pilot's eyes.

But aside from the inferred coolness of being designed for pilots and them being Ray-Bans.

Ray-Ban Aviators are cool for another reason...

They use science.

The original Aviators filtered out the blue light by applying a chemical filter to the glass.

The process massively cuts down the amount of light reaching the eye and helps maintain a sharp image.

Then later Ray Ban went a step further and introduced a polarised lens which prevents half the light from reaching the eye.

And this polarising effect isn’t just brilliant for sunnies.

Polarising your message is brilliant for your marketing.

You absolutely should be driving away people with your message.

Staying in that middle ground of not wanting to “offend” anyone is stopping you from building the business you dream about.

Yes, you read that correctly. Driving people away with your message will increase the number of clients you get.

Failing to apply this simple concept is why most PTs struggle to make a success of online coaching.

It's also why they’re stuck working with everyone and anyone on the gym floor.

If you want to be successful…

To be able to charge premium rates…

And dictate your working hours then you need to plant your flag in the ground and stand apart from the crowd…no more wishy-washy vague “statements”.

Be bold, be definite, and be successful.

So take inspiration from your sunnies and turn half of the readers away.
