Open Enrollment Is Coming (and Going)
Our Personal Brand Accelerator is opening enrollment in 5 days. One member in the last cohort added 40,000 followers. Another added $20,000 in monthly recurring revenue. 60 hours after it opens, it'll close again for at least 3 months. Get ready to join.
1. Hooks That Work Crazy Well
We recently created a referral rewards program for this newsletter. One of the rewards is 31 hook types + 104 examples of them. I'll give you 5 right now, though. Plus an example for each:
Personal results - "My blog gets 1,000 clicks per day."
Customer results - "I raised my client's CR% by 14%."
I did the hard work - "I spent 2 years and $100k on an MBA."
Starts of stories - "This guy built a $1B company in his garage."
Warnings - "99% of people make the same skincare mistake."
2. Post Types That Work Well
Let's do the same for the post ideas bonus we're offering:
Lists - Tools, mindsets, strategies.
Comparisons - Mindsets, strategies, your results.
Guides - Whatever your audience wants most.
Case Studies - Ideally, from your customers.
Myths - Call one out, then correct it.
3. Content Formulas That Work Too
And let's do the formulas too:
BAB - Before, after, bridge.
HLC - Hook, list, close.
SSS - Star, story, sell.
AA - Attack, alternative.
PHC - Picture, how-to, close.
Between the formulas, types, and hooks, you should be able to come up with some good content for next week.
"SOMETHING TO DO"
Want to know exactly what your list wants to buy?
Send them a survey.
Collect 2 or 3 critical pieces of demographic information.
Ask them what their biggest problem is right now because you NEED to hear this in THEIR words.
These answers are pure gold and using them in your copy will mean you WILL sell more.
Then ask them
"What other products/courses/solutions have you bought to solve this problem in the past? (Enter N/A if none)"
"OPTIONAL: would you be open to a Zoom/phone call with me to discuss these answers further? If yes, enter your email address below - otherwise, this survey is 100% anonymous
"SOMETHING TO WRITE ABOUT"
Use these ideas from the master storytellers at Pixar to help boost your creativity.
"SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT"
“The dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed”
Definitely one of the funniest and truest quotes I’ve come across in a while and applies to all areas of life.
